At 2.00 am ET Friday, the Office for National Statistics has released UK budget balance and retail sales figures. The pound dropped further against its major rivals after the data.
The pound was trading at 141.84 against the yen, 1.2117 against the franc, 1.3684 against the greenback and 0.8891 against the euro around 2:03 am ET.
