At 8:15 am ET Friday, Canada housing starts for March are due. Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major rivals. While the currency climbed against the greenback, it held steady against the rest of major counterparts.
The loonie was worth 1.4988 against the euro, 87.01 against the yen, 0.9694 against the aussie and 1.2502 against the greenback as of 8:10 am ET.
