Following the release of Canada jobs data for August at 8:30 am ET Friday, the loonie climbed against its major counterparts.
The loonie was trading at 87.25 against the yen, 1.2596 against the greenback, 1.4906 against the euro and 0.9323 against the aussie around 8:33 am ET.
