Friday, the Reserve Bank of India said in a report that nation's foreign reserves stood at US$ 247.621 billion as on January 23, down from US$ 252.17 billion as on January 16.
At the same time, gold reserves stood unchanged at US$ 8.48 billion. Foreign currency assets amounted to US$ 238.305 billion, smaller than the US$ 242.84 billion recorded in the previous week.
Meanwhile, the nation's reserve position with the International Monetary Fund stood at US$ 828 million, down from US$ 843 million in the prior week.
