No one has any doubts that the candidate from the Democratic party Joe Biden will be the President of the United States, even despite the accusations of election fraud and lawsuits of his opponent - the current Republican President, Donald Trump. Biden is preparing for his duties and has already announced a number of innovations that he is going to implement during the first 100 days of his presidency.

First on Biden's list is to cancel all the decrees of his predecessor, Donald Trump, regarding the environment, which he considers harmful to the climate and human health. Further changes will affect immigrants, or rather their status. Biden promises to implement immigration reform in the first months after the inauguration. In an interview with NBC, the new President admitted that he intends to help more than 11 million people living illegally to obtain US citizenship. Biden also considers it his duty to support the state authorities in the fight against coronavirus with a significant package of fiscal incentives.

Among other things, on November 24, Biden announced the names of key members of the new US administration - the spheres of international politics and national security will receive new leaders. So, Biden nominated former Fed chair Janet Yellen for the post of head of the Treasury Department.

Avril Haines – former Deputy national security adviser to the President of the United States in 2015-2017 and former Deputy Director of the CIA in 2013-2015, will be appointed to the post of head of the CIA. If appointed, she will be the first woman to lead American intelligence.

Anthony Blinken will take over as Secretary of State. Blinken served as Deputy National Security Adviser to former US President Barack Obama in 2013-2015.

Jake Sullivan, one of Hillary Clinton's closest associates and former US Secretary of State in 2009-2013, will take the post of National Security Advisor.

Biden intends to appoint John Kerry to the post of the president's special envoy for climate, who before that, in 2013-2017, worked as the US Secretary of State. Biden is confident that Kerry's appointment will shape the new US climate policy.

The minister of internal security is likely to be Alejandro Mallorcas, who previously served as Deputy Minister for Internal Security. Majorcas, upon appointment, will become the first immigrant and Hispanic to hold this position.

Despite the fact that Biden has already managed to announce candidates for key positions in his administration, it should be admitted that these statements have no official character. Such appointments must be approved by the Senate, which is required by US law. And the Senate is likely to remain Republican, which greatly complicates the introduction of any innovations by the new Democratic president.
