Market participants became more cautious in anticipation of the US Federal Reserve's impending policy decision later in the week, while also monitoring any potential advancements in US-India trade relations. In terms of individual performances within the Sensex, Asian Paints, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, Titan, Sun Pharma, Tata Consultancy Services, Tech Mahindra, and Power Grid were the top decliners, losing up to 1.7%. Conversely, Bajaj Finance, Eternal, UltraTech Cement, and Reliance Industries emerged as the prominent gainers, with increases ranging from 0.3% to 0.8%.
