Consumer price growth in the Euro Zone slowed in April 2026, with the month-on-month Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising 1.0%, down from a 1.3% increase in March 2026. The latest data, updated on 30 April 2026, indicate a moderation in short-term inflation momentum across the currency bloc.
On a month-over-month basis, April’s figure shows that prices are still rising, but at a softer pace than in the previous period. In March, CPI had climbed 1.3% compared with February, whereas April’s 1.0% gain reflects a weaker acceleration in prices relative to March.
This slowdown in monthly inflation may ease some pressure on policymakers who have been closely monitoring the pace of price increases. However, the data still point to ongoing price growth, underlining that inflation remains a key factor for economic and financial market expectations in the Euro Zone.
