Colombia’s exports increased 11.7% year-on-year to $4.6 billion in April 2026, following a 20.9% rise in March. Growth was driven primarily by a 46.2% surge in exports of fuels and extractive industry products, underpinned by a 72.3% jump in shipments of petroleum and petroleum-related products. Exports in the “other sectors” category climbed 78.3%, entirely due to higher sales of non-monetary gold.
By contrast, manufactured exports declined 8.3%, weighed down by a 24.8% drop in machinery and transport equipment and a 10.4% decrease in manufactured goods classified chiefly by material. Exports of agricultural products, food, and beverages fell 27%, largely reflecting a 49.9% slump in unroasted coffee shipments and a 20% contraction in exports of cut flowers and foliage.
Over the first four months of 2026, Colombia’s exports reached $18.4 billion, up 14.5% compared with the same period a year earlier.
