Palestine’s trade deficit widened to USD 485.3 million in April 2026, up from USD 428.0 million in the same month a year earlier. Exports rose by 39% year-on-year to USD 188.1 million, driven mainly by a 43% jump in shipments to Israel, which accounted for 92% of total exports. Exports to other countries also inched up by 3%.
Imports increased by 19% compared to April 2025, reaching USD 673.4 million. Purchases from Israel surged by 39% and made up 62% of total imports, while imports from other countries fell by 3% over the same period. Between January and April, the trade deficit widened to USD 2,047.1 million, compared with USD 1,866.1 million a year earlier.
