The U.S. Labor Department will release U.S. producer prices for October at 8:30 am ET Tuesday. Economists expect the index to rise 0.1 percent on month, compared to a 0.4 percent uptick in September.
Ahead of the data, the greenback dropped against its major rivals.
The greenback was worth 113.50 against the yen, 0.9916 against the franc, 1.1744 against the euro and 1.3107 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
