At 8:30 am ET Thursday, U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended August 4 and producer price index for July have been released. Following these data, the greenback fell slightly against its major counterparts.
The greenback was trading at 1.1596 against the euro, 1.2900 against the pound, 111.06 against the yen and 0.9926 against the franc around 8:31 am ET.
