The S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for October will be released at 9 am ET Tuesday.
Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback rose against the euro and the pound, it held steady against the yen and the franc.
The greenback was worth 113.30 against the yen, 0.9905 against the franc, 1.3348 against the pound and 1.1854 against the euro as of 8:55 am ET.
