At 4:30 am ET Friday, the Office for National Statistics has released U.K. preliminary GDP data for the first quarter. The pound weakened further against its major counterparts following the data.
The pound was trading at 151.24 against the yen, 1.3710 against the franc, 1.3825 against the greenback and 0.8730 against the euro around 4:32 am ET.
