Tuesday, the Statistics Netherlands reported that consumer confidence improved to minus 28 points in December from minus 29 points in November. Economists had predicted the reading to fall to minus 30.
At the same time, the economic sentiment indicator dropped 4 points to minus 56.
Meanwhile, the producer confidence indicator fell to minus 20.1 points in December from minus 9.1 points recorded in the previous month. Economists were looking for a reading of minus 11.
