Following the release of Germany's retail sales data for June at 2:00 am ET, the euro held steady against most of its major counterparts. At present, the common currency is quoted at 1.307 against the US dollar, 0.837 against the pound, 113.0 against the yen and 1.3611 against the Swiss franc.
