Spanish retail sales declined by 2.2% in July from the previous year, the statistical agency INE said Friday. The decline follows a 0.9% rise in June.
Sales in the food product sector grew 1.6%, while it fell 4.2% in non-food products. Overall sales in the first seven months of 2010 recorded an annual fall of 1.1%.
