The Eurozone preliminary CPI for August and jobless rate for July are slated for release at 5:00 am ET Tuesday. Ahead of the reports, the euro advanced against the dollar, yen and the pound. But the euro slipped against the franc. At 4:55 am ET, the euro traded at 1.2677 against the dollar, 106.96 against the yen, 0.8218 against the pound and 1.2921 against the franc.
