A Canadian government official said on Friday, Canada wishes the G20 nations set targets for current account imbalances, amidst the central plan of action at next weeks summit.
Ottawa also wishes to see more progress on the currency issues, specifically that of China, which should be let to appreciate freely, in his opinion.
When asked about the rejection of the Potash bid by BHP, the Canada PM spokesman said, governments stand towards fighting protectionism is clear.

"We fully support the adoption of a current account target," a government official told reporters in a briefing.
"Some have talked about current account targets. Others would like more practical things to occur, but I think we're going into this with a position that yes, we do need to move the yardsticks somewhat," the official added.
