Friday, a report by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic said industrial producer prices fell 1.2% month-on-month in January. Manufacturing prices fell 1.1%, while prices in mining and quarrying slipped 3.2%. Prices of utilities were down 1.2%.

Year-on-year, producer prices rose 3.7% in January, reflecting a 21.4% rise in mining and quarrying prices and a 13.6% climb in prices of utilities. However, manufacturing prices fell 3.7%.

Meanwhile, export prices fell 2.3% month-on-month and 10.7% year-on-year in January.
