Lithuania's producer price inflation accelerated in January, data released by the Department of Statistics showed Monday.
The producer price inflation quickened to 9.3 percent in January from 8.7 percent in December. Meanwhile, prices, excluding refined petroleum products, rose at a slower pace of 4.1 percent than the previous month's 5 percent growth.
Prices of goods sold both in the domestic market and the overseas market advanced 9.2 percent year-on-year during the month.
Producer prices in the manufacturing sector grew 8.8 percent annually, while mining and quarrying prices rose 8.2 percent. There was a 12.7 percent annual growth in output prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply during the month.
Month-on-month, output prices moved up 1.8 percent in January, recovering from December's 0.6 percent decline.
