Following the release of Canada retail sales for May and consumer price inflation data for June at 8:30 am ET Friday, the loonie climbed against its major counterparts.
The loonie was trading at 1.4383 against the euro, 0.9773 against the aussie, 81.27 against the yen and 1.3059 against the greenback around 8:32 am ET.
