Following the release of U.S. consumer price inflation for July at 8:30 am ET Friday, the greenback slipped against its major rivals.
The greenback was trading at 1.1809 against the euro, 108.86 against the yen, 0.9594 against the franc and 1.2998 against the pound around 8:32 am ET.
