The New Zealand weakened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Tuesday.

The NZ dollar fell to 0.7226 against the U.S. dollar, from yesterday's closing value of 0.7252.

The kiwi dropped to 79.01 against the yen, from an early near 2-week high of 79.46.

Against the euro and the Australian dollar, the kiwi edged down to 1.6546 and 1.1084 from an early 6-day highs of 1.6454 and 1.1039, respectively.

If the kiwi extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 0.71 against the greenback, 77.00 against the yen, 1.67 against the euro and 1.11 against the aussie.
