The Commerce Department's Retail Sales report for August will be issued at 8.30 am ET Friday. The economists are looking for growth consensus of 0.1 percent, down from 0.6 percent in the previous period. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback fell against the franc and the euro, it held steady against the yen and the pound. The greenback was worth 111.09 against the yen, 0.9593 against the franc, 1.3578 against the pound and 1.1965 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
