At 5.00 am ET Thursday, Eurozone unemployment data is due. The jobless rate is expected to fall marginally to 8.6 in January from 8.7 in December.
Ahead of the data, the euro retreated from early highs against its major rivals.
The euro was worth 130.03 against the yen, 0.8861 against the pound, 1.2182 against the greenback and 1.1518 against the franc as of 4:55 am ET.
