Consumer confidence in New Zealand improved slightly in May, the latest survey from ANZ Bank revealed on Friday.
ANZ's index picked up 0.4 percent to reach a score of 121.0.
That follows the sharp 5.9 percent tumble in April that saw the index slide to 120.5.
