Singapore industrial production grew at a slower pace in July, figures from the Economic Development Board showed Friday.

Industrial production advanced 6 percent annually, following June's 8 percent increase. The increase in output came in line with expectations.

Excluding biomedical, industrial output growth eased to 5.1 percent from 6.8 percent a month ago.

Month-on-month, industrial production dropped by more-than-expected 1.7 percent, in contrast to a 4.4 percent rise in June. Output was forecast to fall 1 percent in July.
