At 4:30 am ET Friday, U.K. GDP data for the third quarter, trade data, industrial production and construction output for September are due. Ahead of these data, the pound declined against its major counterparts.

The pound was worth 148.08 against the yen, 1.3115 against the franc, 0.8713 against the euro and 1.3007 against the greenback as of 4:25 am ET.
