Statistics Canada has released Canada retail sales for August at 8:30 am ET Tuesday. Following the data, the loonie fell against its major counterparts.
The loonie was trading at 82.86 against the yen, 1.4591 against the euro, 0.8985 against the aussie and 1.3112 against the greenback around 8:32 am ET.
