Mainland-Norway expanded at a slower pace in three months to October, data from Statistics Norway showed on Monday.

Gross domestic product grew 0.3 percent sequentially, following a 0.7 percent rise in three months to September.

At the same time, overall Norway GDP contracted 0.1 percent after staying flat in the third quarter. On a monthly basis, GDP gained 0.1 percent in October.

The expenditure-side breakdown showed that final household consumption grew at a slower pace of 0.2 percent. Likewise, government spending growth slowed to 0.3 percent.

Gross fixed capital formation advanced 3.5 percent but slower than the 4.2 percent increase in the third quarter. At the same time, exports fell 1.8 percent and imports decreased 0.1 percent sequentially.
