The U.S. retail sales for March are set for release at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. The greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts before the data. While it held steady against the yen, it advanced against the rest of major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 1.0897 against the euro, 1.2466 against the pound, 0.9672 against the franc and 107.43 against the yen at 8:25 am ET.
