The Bank of England has published UK mortgage approvals data for September at 5.30 am ET Thursday. The pound rose against its major counterparts after the data.
The pound was trading at 135.64 against the yen, 1.1869 against the franc, 0.9007 against the euro and 1.3024 against the greenback around 5:35 am ET.
