Canada GDP data for July is due at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major rivals. While it fell against the aussie, it advanced against the rest of major rivals.
The loonie was worth 1.4700 against the euro, 0.9192 against the aussie, 1.2672 against the greenback and 87.74 against the yen at 8:25 am ET.
