Google could pay a penalty of up to 10% of its yearly global revenue for formal charges from the European competition agency, based on a Wall Street Journal report.
The report, citing documents, said the European Commission is determined to modify Alphabet's business norms and increase certain fines. Also, the European regulator is keen on proving the technology company breached its antitrust laws.
Google has not yet commented on the report. Earlier, the firm said it seeks to prove they adhere to existing regulations when it developed the Android model benefiting both competition and consumers.
