U.S. Stocks increase as the best-performing sectors of the years led stocks higher. The dollar declined together with financial shares and Treasury yields, as utilities and telecom companies rose.

The Nasdaq Composite has reached a record high, as both the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended at their highest levels in two weeks. The S&P 500 was up by 6.50 points or 0.3 percent while the Dow Industrials Average jumped by 46.16 points or 0.2 percent. The Nasdaq Composite advanced 26.01 points or 0.5 percent. The telecom and utilities sectors were one of the largest gainers in the S&P 500. Shares of telecom jumped by 0.9 percent and has so far been the best-performing sector followed by the utilities which increased by 1.1 percent. The financial sector of the S&P 500 has decreased by 0.2 percent.
