EUR/USD is showing a reversal ahead of the release of consumer inflation data in the Euro area for April. The index is expected to exhibit signs of a deceleration, which may force the ECB to suspend actions such as tightening the monetary policy.

Technical picture:

The quote is above the middle line of the Bollinger indicator, below the SMA 5, but above the SMA 14. Meanwhile, both the relative strength index (RSI) and stochastic indicator are below the overbought zone, giving a sell signal.

Possible dynamics:

A decline and consolidation below 1.0505 may lead to a further fall to 1.0435.
