Analysis of transactions and trading tips on USD/JPY
The test of 150.65, coinciding with the rise of the MACD line from zero, provoked a buy signal, which led to a price increase of 15 pips. The pair returned to 150.65 after the movement.
GDP data for the US lies ahead, where positive figures will lead to a new wave of growth in USD/JPY. The statements of Fed representatives Raphael Bostic and John Williams could also affect market dynamics, especially if they highlight their position of not rushing with interest rate hikes.
For long positions:
Buy when the price hits 150.73 (green line on the chart) and take profit at 151.05. Growth will occur after very strong statistics from the US and a firm stance from Fed representatives.
When buying, ensure that the MACD line lies above zero or rises from it. Also consider buying USD/JPY after two consecutive price tests of 150.48, but the MACD line should be in the oversold area as only by that will the market reverse to 150.73 and 151.05.
For short positions:
Sell when the price reaches 150.48 (red line on the chart) and take profit at 150.19. Pressure will return in the case of weak data from the US.
When selling, ensure that the MACD line lies below zero or drops down from it. Also consider selling USD/JPY after two consecutive price tests of 150.73, but the MACD line should be in the overbought area as only by that will the market reverse to 150.48 and 150.19.
