Bitcoin has once again failed in its attempt to test and consolidate above the $120,000 mark, currently dipping back below $119,000. Ethereum has also slightly retreated after attempting to break above $3,900, although it remains firmly in the green.
The growth of these assets continues to be supported by investment products launched by asset managers such as BlackRock, Grayscale, and Fidelity. These funds attracted around $1.9 billion last week alone, bringing total inflows for the month to a record $11.2 billion. This July figure surpasses the previous monthly high of $7.6 billion set in December 2024 following the US elections.
This explosive growth highlights the maturity of the cryptocurrency market and increasing institutional confidence in digital assets, following the adoption of three US bills regulating the sector. What was once a niche technology has evolved into a fully recognized asset class, drawing attention from the world's largest financial players.
Notably, the capital inflows are not limited to Bitcoin alone. Ethereum and other altcoins are also experiencing heightened institutional interest, indicating market diversification and deepening investor engagement.
Ethereum has dominated for the second consecutive week, attracting $1.59 billion in inflows—the second-largest weekly influx on record—also boosting its year-to-date growth.

Going forward, I'll continue to base my strategy on any major dips in Bitcoin and Ethereum, expecting a continuation of the medium-term bull market, which remains intact.

Buy scenario
Scenario 1 I plan to buy Bitcoin today if the entry point around $119,100 is reached, targeting growth toward $120,100. I will exit long positions and sell on the rebound near $120,100. Before buying on a breakout, I must confirm that the 50-day moving average is below the current price and that the Awesome Oscillator is in positive territory.
Scenario 2 An alternative buy opportunity arises from the lower border at $118,400, provided there's no strong market reaction to its breakout in the opposite direction, with targets at $119,100 and $120,100.
Sell scenario
Scenario 1 I plan to sell Bitcoin today if the entry point around $118,400 is reached, targeting a decline toward $117,400. I'll exit short positions and buy on the rebound near $117,400. Before selling on a breakout, I must confirm that the 50-day moving average is above the current price and that the Awesome Oscillator is in negative territory.
Scenario 2: An alternative short opportunity is from the upper border at $119,100, provided there's no market reaction to its breakout, with downside targets at $118,500 and $117,400.
