The British CPI report for November is due at 4:30 am ET Tuesday. Annual inflation is expected to slow to 3.9% in November from 4.5% in October. Month-on-month, consumer prices are predicted to fall 0.3% in November.
Ahead of the release, the pound strengthened slightly against its major counterparts. At about 4:25 am ET, the pound traded at 1.5243 against the dollar, 0.8968 per euro, 137.62 versus the yen and 1.7624 against the franc.
