The Japanese yen extended its early Asian session uptrend across the board in late trading Wednesday on increasing safe-haven buying.

The yen is presently trading nearly a 3-week high of 79.18 against the Canadian dollar and 80.43 against the Australian dollar. The yen also jumped to near 2-week highs of 100.01 against the euro, 82.72 against the Swiss franc, 125.56 against the pound and 63.67 against the NZ dollar in late Asian trading on Wednesday.

On the upside, the Japanese unit may find resistance levels at 99.50 against the euro, 125.20 against the pound, 82.20 against the Swiss franc, 79.90 against the Australian dollar, 78.90 against the Canadian dollar and 63.50 against the NZ dollar.
