The Canadian dollar drifted lower against its major counterparts in European deals on Friday.

Continuing early slide, the loonie fell to an 8-day low of 0.9903 against the aussie, from a high of 0.9869 hit at 12:30 am ET.

The loonie declined to 1.3209 against the greenback and 1.4829 against the euro, from its early highs of 1.3142 and 1.4770, respectively.

The loonie slid to a 6-week low of 77.10 against the yen, off its early high of 77.68.

The next possible support for the loonie may be found around 75.00 against the yen, 1.35 against the greenback, 1.05 against the aussie and 1.50 against the euro.
