Eurozone construction output increased for the second straight month in July, and at a stable pace, data from Eurostat showed Tuesday.

Construction output climbed 0.2 percent month-over-month in July, the same rate of rise as in June, which was revised from a 0.5 percent decrease reported earlier.

The gain in July was driven by a 0.3 percent growth in building construction. Meanwhile, civil engineering activity registered a decline of 0.4 percent.

On a yearly basis, construction output grew at a slower pace of 3.4 percent in July, following a 4.3 percent increase in June, revised up from 3.4 percent.

Among member countries, the biggest monthly rises in production were noted in Sweden, Poland and Slovakia. At the same time, the largest declines were seen in Slovenia, Czech Republic and Hungary.
