Slovakia's economic sentiment strengthened in September to the highest level in seven months, data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Thursday.

The economic sentiment indicator rose to 104.8 in September from 102.4 in August.

Moreover, the latest reading was the strongest since February, when it was 105.1.

Among components, the confidence indicator for both the construction and service sectors registered rises in September, while the morale for industry decreased.

Data also revealed that the consumer confidence index improved from -5.4 in August to -2.5 in September.
