At 8:30 am ET Friday, Canada GDP data for April and industrial product price index for May are due. Ahead of these data, the loonie dropped against its major rivals.
The loonie was worth 1.5446 against the euro, 83.47 against the yen, 0.9784 against the aussie and 1.3260 against the greenback as of 8:25 am ET.
