The manufacturing sector in South Korea continued to contract in July, and at a faster rate, the latest survey from Nikkei revealed on Wednesday with a PMI score of 48.3.
That's down from 49.8 in June, and it moves farther beneath the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Individually, output and new orders declined at the steepest rate since April.
Firms continued to cut staffing levels, while business confidence fell to a 10-month low.
