Malaysia's producer prices increased for the second straight month in July, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Thursday.
Producer prices climbed 0.7 percent year-over-year in July, following a 0.1 percent rise in June.
Among sectors, the price index for mining surged 32.6 percent annually in July, while that for agriculture, forestry and fishing registered a decline of 11.5 percent.
On a monthly basis, producer prices went up 0.3 percent from June, when it fell by 0.7 percent.
