Public sector finances from the UK and current account from euro area are due on Friday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 3.00 am ET, average gross wages are due from Hungary. Economists forecast wages to climb 12.3 percent year-on-year in August versus 12.8 percent rise in July.

At 4.00 am ET, current account figures are due from euro area and Italy. The Eurozone current account surplus totaled EUR 21.3 billion in July.

In the meantime, retail sales data from Poland are due. Sales are forecast to drop 1.3 percent on month in September, in contrast to a 0.9 percent rise in August.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics publishes public sector finance data. The UK budget deficit is seen narrowing to GBP 4.6 billion in September from GBP 5.9 billion in August.
