Following the release of Canada retail sales for May at 8:30 am ET Friday, the loonie dropped against its major rivals.
The loonie was trading at 82.30 against the yen, 0.9234 against the aussie, 1.4692 against the euro and 1.3098 against the greenback around 8:32 am ET.
