At 4.00 am ET Thursday, IHS Markit is scheduled to issue euro area composite PMI data. The composite index is expected to improve to 50.3 in October from 50.1 in September.
Ahead of the data, the euro rose against its major counterparts.
The euro was worth 1.1144 against the greenback, 121.13 against the yen, 0.8634 against the pound and 1.1035 against the franc at 3:55 am ET.
