At 4.30 am ET Wednesday, the Office for National Statistics releases UK inflation and producer price figures. Economists forecast consumer price inflation to remain unchanged at 1.5 percent in November.
The pound held steady against its major rivals before the data.
The pound was worth 1.3106 against the greenback, 143.43 against the yen, 1.2855 against the franc and 0.8502 against the euro at 4:25 am ET.
